After 24 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, I returned home to coastal Virginia to start my career in the private sector. I graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Go Gamecocks! While in law school, I primarily focused on family law and children’s legal issues, obtaining a Children’s Law Concentration.
I have lived a life of service and my deep-seated draw to family law stems from a fundamental desire to help people navigate through some of the most challenging and vulnerable moments of their lives. Legal disputes involving family structures are rarely simple, often carrying immense emotional weight and uncertainty for everyone involved. I am motivated by the unique opportunity this field provides to act as a steady, empathetic guide, helping individuals find clarity amid chaos. Ultimately, my goal is to make the absolute best out of a bad situation, transforming a painful period of upheaval into a structured, fair, and hopeful new beginning for families and their children.
As a former law enforcement officer, I bring a wealth of knowledge into the criminal law and procedure arena. This knowledge and experience will serve you well as I defend you in your traffic and criminal matters.
I currently live in Poquoson with my wife Andrea, and two labs, Judge and Cola. We have two college aged children, Kaitlyn (University of Tennessee) and Austin (playing football for Hampden-Sydney College).
Away from the office, I enjoy boating with friends and family, playing golf, and watching any and all sports. I am an avid sports card collector and a Washington Commanders and South Carolina Gamecocks fanatic!
