Ms. Bowman enjoyed growing up in and around West Palm Beach, Florida. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in criminal justice, with a minor in psychology. Upon graduation, Ms. Bowman moved to Virginia, where she received her Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies with a specialization in litigation, graduating magna cum laude. Ms. Bowman then worked as a paralegal for several law firms in the Richmond area.
After finding work in the legal field enjoyable, Ms. Bowman enrolled at Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree. While attending law school, Ms. Bowman was a member of the executive committee for the Trial Advocacy Board and a member of the James Kent Inn of Court. She also enjoyed volunteering with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and for local youth sports.
Since then, Ms. Bowman has regularly litigated issues of divorce, complex distribution of property and debt, custody, visitation, and child and spousal support. Her work in estate law includes estate planning and related matters stemming from the deaths of loved ones, such as probate, administration, disputes, and related litigation.
As a passionate advocate for her clients, Ms. Bowman understands the details and complexities of working with families. Ms. Bowman’s priorities in every representation are that her clients feel confident, informed, and heard. Ms. Bowman has been peer-nominated to the Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Stars for 2023 and 2024.
Ms. Bowman lives in Chesapeake with her husband, a 17-year-old son, and their two bully-breed dogs, Scooby and Moo.
