Once licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia, I began my legal practice with Holcomb Law in 2016. I spent seven (7) years primarily practicing traffic defense and family law in the various Circuit, General District, and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Courts spread throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. During those years, I discovered that practicing family law was my passion, and that I deeply cared about advocating for people who were dealing with some of the most emotional and troubling legal battles that they would face in their entire lifetime. And, seeing the pain that families went through in litigation, I also became a mediator with Holcomb Mediation Center so that I could help families resolve their divorce, custody, visitation, and support matters by more peaceful means. Instead of requiring families to become legal combatants fighting in front of a judge, mediation allows families to become partners in facilitating a new plan or pattern for how their family will function after a couple breaks up. Not every family is suited for mediation, but for those families who are willing to sit down together and have an honest discussion with a trained professional, mediation is very often successful!
In 2023, I relocated with my family to Lynchburg, Virginia, where I currently practice family law with Holcomb Law – Lynchburg and where I operate as a mediator with Holcomb Mediation Center! While my location has changed, my attitude and approach to the law has not. As a company-wide philosophy, we firmly believe that “you matter here”, and we strive to fight for every client in a way that makes them feel seen and heard, in addition to being well served by all the members of Holcomb Law or Holcomb Mediation Center!
In my free time, I love to spend time with my husband and our son, during which we regularly debate politics, philosophy and theology. As a family, we love taking walks, being active, and talking over a good cup of coffee!
